Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 27: The 3rd edition of the Ravi Tikku Speed Ball Tournament was declared open by Mrs Reema Tikku wife of late Ravi Tikku at Indoor Sports Complex, International Delhi Public School. The tournament was organised by J&K Sports Speedball Association in collaboration with International Delhi Public School Jammu. About 250 players of 15 schools from 3 different districts namely Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur. The School were Jammu Sanskriti School, S.D Tara Puri School, Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, Army Public School Dhar Road Udhampur, R.M Public School, Shiksha Niketan School Gandhi Nagar, International Delhi Public School, Humanity Public School Samba, Crescent Sports Club, Nanda Sports Club, participated in this championship. On this occasion of closing ceremony Dr. Sanjveer Verma IAS (Commissioner/Secretary to the Government GAD) was the chief guest, Sh. Vijay Bakaya IAS (Ex Chief Secretary J&K) was the special guest and other guests are Dr. N.M. Tikku, Pushpinder Singh Charak (Distt Secretyary BJP), Suminder Singh (M.D IDPS) Randeep Wazir (Principal IDPS) Mrs Madhu Abrol (Manager IDPS). The association bearers namely Ms. Pooja Malhotra (Founder Patron), Sh. Munish Gupta (Vice President), Tarun Uppal (Distt Presdient) Ms Renu Nanda (Member) Ms.Pooja Malhotra welcome all the guests and officials on the behalf of J&K Sports Speedball Association. Dr Sanjeev Verma IAS aplauds the efforts of Sh. Sunny Nanda (General Secretary JSSB) for organizing this memorial championship and gave an immense tribute to Sh. Ravi Tikku and providing opportunities' to youth budding players of schools. The vote of thanks was given by Mrs Jyoti Sharma (incharge IDPS). Today gold medal winner are Sehajveer Singh (JSS), Aditya (APS), Parth Mehra (SDTPS), Ishmeet Singh (SNS Gandhi Nagar), Eklavya Mohan (JSS), Zakir Hussain (HPS), Namish (Rmps), Akash Kalotra (RMPS) Rajveer Singh (RMPS), Krishna (RMPS) Raghuvanshika (APS), Mohd. Salim Mir (SNS Gandhi Nagar), Mannat Dogra (JSS), Vidushi Sharma ( SDTPS). Amit Singh (APS), Tejveer Singh (JSS), Rihi Rajput (HPS), Hridyansh Tripathi (APS), Kartik Manhas (SNS Gandhi Nagar), Keshav (RMPS), Sutjit Thakur (SNS Jeeven Nagar), Mohit Kumar (APS), Zaheer Ahmed (APS), Somdev Pandey (HPS), Nidha (IDPS). All the winners were selected for national event which will be held at Delhi in May. |
