Jammu, Apr 29: Although annoyed Lok Sabha member Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has called himself a loyal BJP Karyakarta, the party high command has deputed Union Minister Kiren Rijiju to manage things in Ladakh. Kiren Rijiju reached Leh on Monday afternoon and started held closed door meetings with senior BJP leaders, workers and some prominent Buddhist leaders of Ladakh. Lok Sabha member from Arunachal Pradesh, Kiren Rijiju is a Minister of Earth Sciences and Minister of Food Processing Industries, is prominent Buddhist leader of the country. Sources said that BJP leaders from Jammu and national general secretary incharge J&K and Ladakh Tarun Chugh also reached Ladakh today but Kiren Rijiju has given responsibility to ensure unity among all leaders. Except Rijiju all other leaders from outside Ladakh have been asked to support the Union Minister and avoid intervening in the affairs of the Ladakh. Sources said that BJP candidate for the Ladakh Lok Sabha seat Tashi Gyalson will file his nomination paper on May 1 and Kiren Rijiju has been deputed by the high command to accompany the party candidate. The BJP has deputed former minister Sat Sharma and former legislator Vikram Randhawa with the responsibility of reconciling with Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, who expressed dissatisfaction over the party’s decision to nominate Tashi Gyalson, the incumbent Chief Executive Councillor of Leh Council, for the seat. The leaders are set to engage in discussions with Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and his supporters to rationalize the party’s stance, considering the current circumstances in the region. Additionally, they will oversee the readiness of the local unit for the nomination papers to be filed by Tashi Gyalson on May 1. On April 25, Namgyal condemned individuals spreading false statements against the Prime Minister in his name, reaffirming his allegiance to the party. This clarification followed Namgyal’s discontent with the party’s decision on April 23, where he criticized the decision to replace him with Tashi Gyalson, labeling it as unjust to a committed party worker.
