Early Times Report DODA, May 21: The Department of Youth Services & Sports on Tuesday declared open the Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament in Kabaddi, Volleyball and Kho-Kho disciplines for U 14 and U 17 boys, here at the Government Higher Secondary School Ground in Ghat. On the first day of the event, a total of 267 students participated, with 121 players in the under-14 category and 146 in the under-17 category. The opening ceremony was graced by Dinesh Kumar, Principal of the host school as the Chief Guest, alongside Surinder Kumar Zonal Physical Education Officer of Ghat. The tournament is supported by all Physical Education Lecturers (PEL), Physical Education Masters (PEM), Physical Education Teachers (PET), Rehbar-e-Khel (REK), and National Youth Corps (NYC) members, who have collectively contributed to the event's success. For the safety of the participants, Diamond Youth Club Ghat is providing ambulance services and the Block Medical Officer of Ghat has arranged a medical backup team. The event marks a significant step in promoting sports and physical education among the youth in Ghat, fostering both competitive spirit and camaraderie among students. |
