| GDC Kunjwani/Sainik Colony hosts awareness session on Journalism and Mass Communication | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 21: The Psychological cum Career Counselling and Placement Cell of GDC Kunjwani organized an insightful awareness session titled "Journalism and Mass Communication: Navigating the 21st Century". The event, held under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Manisha Sarup Kohli, Principal of the College, aimed to shed light on the evolving landscape of journalism in the digital era.
The session featured Vivek Suri, Principal Correspondent for Take 1 Channel, as the guest speaker. Suri underscored the critical role of journalism in today's digital age and introduced students to emerging trends in the field. He shared his professional experiences and engaged in an interactive discussion with the attendees, encouraging them to consider journalism as a viable and impactful career choice.
Throughout the session, students actively participated, sharing their viewpoints on journalism and discussing the importance of timely corrective actions against societal negativity. Suri's motivational discourse aimed to inspire students to pursue careers in journalism and contribute positively to society.
Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta, Convener of the Psychological cum Career Counselling and Placement Cell, delivered the welcome address. The program proceedings were skillfully conducted by Manik and Komal, students of the IInd Semester. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Neeru Sharma.
