| GDCW Kathua organised one-day lecture on 'Future after Graduation | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 22: Career Counselling and Placement Cell, IIC in collaboration with IQAC, Government Degree College for Women, Kathua organized one-day lecture on 'Future after Graduation' on 22-05-2024. The lecture was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Savi Behl, Esteemed Principal of the college. Surjeet kumar, Career Counselling Officer (District Employment & Counselling Centre Kathua) was the resource person for the talk. The function began with the welcome address by Romika Bassin, Convener, Career Counselling and Placement Celland IIC. In her welcome address, she outlined the purpose of the programme. The Resource Person Surjeet kumar addressed the students regarding the future after graduation. He talked about various academic and professional courses like NCS (National Career Service Portal), State Employment Portal (JKEMP), Self Employment Scheme of J&K Govt., Digisksham (a scheme by MICROSOFT & Ministry of Labour) and apart from this the mode of admission in their department, duration of the courses and their opportunities for seeking jobs for the bright future. During the interactive session, the students actively participated and a lot of queries were raised by the students. A total of 70 students had attended the lecture. During the session students also raised various queries and the resource person solved their queries so that students get the benift regarding various career opportunities. The resource person was accompanied by Ankit anand (Young Professional Officer) and Sahil singh (KPO)
