Early Times Report JAMMU, May 22: In continuation of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan and to promote the traditional culture of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) performed their 427th regular series Dogri musical play "Nasha Kola Bacho" today. The event was held in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and the Social Welfare Department of J&K Government at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Sarwal, Jammu. The musical play was both written and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, a renowned writer and director. During the event, Chahat Chadha administered a pledge to over 500 students and teachers. Additionally, a certificate from the Ministry of Social Justice was presented to the Principal of the host school. Ravinder Kumar Raina, Principal of Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Jammu, inaugurated the program as the chief guest. Guests of honor included Sudershan Sharma, Vice Principal, and Jyoti Sharma, Senior Lecturer of the hosted school. The program commenced with various songs such as "Nasha Na Karna - Man Lo Kehna", "Hogi Badi Khrabi", "Khand Mithe Log Dogre", "Swatchta Hi Sewa Hai", and "Kali Mata Bawe Basdi". The music for the play was composed by the renowned music teacher, Raju Bajgal. In his speech, R.K. Raina emphasized the importance of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan, launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, to address drug demand reduction. He appreciated the efforts of BLSKS and the organizers for making the awareness programs engaging and effective. The event was recorded and uploaded online on social media for public benefit. Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, highlighted the challenges of drug withdrawal symptoms and the importance of cleanliness related to health. He stressed that with proper medical support, overcoming withdrawal symptoms is possible and crucial for quitting substance abuse. Cleanliness, he noted, is essential for preventing infectious diseases and maintaining overall health. Mahesh Chander Kotwal, General Secretary of BLSKS, spoke on the significance of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan and mentioned that BLSKS presents more than 200 cultural programs annually to promote Dogra culture. The musical play featured performances by Usha Raina, Zulekha Bano, Raju Bajgal, Bindia Okheda, Chahat Chadha, Rajni Gupta, K.K. Joshi, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Rahul Kumar, Manthan Verma, Devansh Verma, and others. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Master Deepak Kumar, acknowledging the successful execution of the event. |
