Early Times Report DODA, May 31: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh visited the construction site for the new Kendriya Vidyalaya school building in Jodhpur (Doda) and inspected the progress of ongoing development works. The inspection included a thorough review of the construction of residential quarters, boundary wall, underground tanks, retaining walls, connecting roads with breast wall and surface drain, as well as the E&M works being executed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) of the Government of India. During the visit, the DC, as the chairman VMC, chaired a meeting of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC). The agenda of the meeting included administrative approval of budget VVN+SF for the session 2024-25, construction of a permanent building, expansion of the Vidyalaya, academic status, establishment of a kabaddi court at the temporary building, demand sanction of staff strength, new admission cases, requirement of water supply and electricity for the new building, white wash of the temporary building, sports achievements, and hard station. The meeting was attended by various stakeholders including the Principal of KV, eminent cultural personalities, representatives of local PWD, co-opted members from the community, representatives of SC/ST communities, central government employees, eminent educationists, doctors, teacher members, parents, and representatives from the construction agency. The DC Doda expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the construction site and emphasized the importance of timely completion of the project for the benefit of the students and the community.
