Cattle lifting attempt foiled by JKP vehicle seized | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: In a significant operation, a police party from Police Post Jourian, led by Chowki Officer Sanjeet Singh, successfully foiled a cattle lifting attempt. The team had set up a special naka at Chak Kirpalpur during the night of May 31st and June 1st. During the naka checking, a Mahindra vehicle (Regd. No. JK02DH-7148) attempted to evade the police but was swiftly chased down. The unknown driver and his associates abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be loaded with 07 cattle, which had been lifted from nearby areas. The vehicle has been seized, and the cattle have been safely rescued. The owner of the vehicle has been identified and will be apprehended soon along with his accomplices. A case under relevant sections has been registered, and further investigation is underway. This successful operation underscores the Jammu Police commitment to preventing illegal activities and ensuring the safety and welfare of animals in the region. |
