Srinagar, June 1: Police on Saturday attached a Global Positioning System (GPS) tracker anklets on the two bailed out alleged terror associates in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district. Police said it has affixed a GPS-enabled anklet on two bailed-out terror associates for better surveillance to track their movements in Sopore township of the district today after obtaining formal orders from the Court. The accused persons, identified as Aamar Mehraj Kaboo a resident of Mahrajpora Sopore and Waseem Manzoor Gazi of Watergam Rafiabad, were arrested in case FIR No. 185/2020 under section 7/25, 27 of IA Act, 16, 18, 20, 23, 38 ULAP Act of Police Station Sopore and FIR No. 161/2019 under section 7/25 IA Act 18, 39 ULAP Act of Police Station Dangiwacha respectively and have been enlarged bail by the Court. "These GPS anklets will be used to monitor the movement of the said terror associates and ensure that they don't violate the bail conditions", police said. |
