SAMBA, June 1: Continuing crackdown on illegal mining, Police has seized nine more vehicles including two excavators across district Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Different Police teams were constituted at PS and PP level headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, SHO PS Vijaypur, Incharge Police Post Uttar Behani and Incharge Post Rakh Amb Talli while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional areas, have seized two excavators (JCB) bearing registration No. HR55T-5330 & without registration No., five dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK19A-8078, JK02DE-6665, JK21J-7586, JK21C-2988, JK02BX-4628 and two tractor trolleys bearing registration No. JK21E-4814 & without registration No. for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action. |
