| 2 bootleggers nabbed with 12 bottles of illicit liquor by police | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, June 1: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in district Samba, Police has arrested two bootleggers and recovered 12 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
A Police Party of PS Ghagwal headed by SHO PS Ghagwal during patrolling at Randhwal area, intercepted two persons who were carrying the illicit liquor trade in the area for their illegitimate profit. During checking, twelve bottles (07 bottles of 750 ml & 05 bottles of 180 ml each) were recovered from their possession.
The two accused person identified as Sanjay Kumar S/o Hans Raj R/o Randhwal tehsil Ghagwal district Samba and Mukesh Kumar S/o Somnath R/o Mirpur tehsil Marheen district Kathua have been arrested on spot and illicit liquor was also seized.
A case FIR No. 79/2024 U/S 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. |
