| Police recover 121 bottles of lllicit liquor, 3 Bootleggers arrested | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 5: In it's ongoing drive against the menace of Drugs/ illicit liquor,Nowabad Police Station in Jammu District achieved a success when it apprehended 03 Bootleggers alongwith 121 bottles of illicit liquor.
During patrolling/checking , police party from PS Nowabad headed by Asi Tilak Raj signaled 03 persons having 01 card board box each looking Suspicious to stop for checking near J P CHOWK JAMMU. Instead of stopping, they started running from the spot. Who were chased away and apprehended by the alert police team.On checking, total 121 bottles of illicit liquor (180 ml each) were recovered from 03 cardboard boxes which they were carrying. On questioning they disclosed their identity as (01) Pawan Kumar S/o Dina Nath R/o Chand Nagar Jammu (02) Chandan Balgotra (03) Shiv Balgotra both son’s of Girdhari Lal Balgotra R/o Vikram Chowk Jammu. They were immediately taken into custody and illicit liquor seized on spot.
In this connection , case FIR No. 86/2024 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at PS nowabad.
