JNV, holds key Vidyalaya Management Committee meeting

KISHTWAR, June 7: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kishtwar successfully conducted a pivotal Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting on June 5, 2024. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, and saw the attendance of several dignitaries including the Deputy CEO, representatives from the CMO office, the Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B), the Principal of the Government Senior Secondary School, Kishtwar, and two Parent Representatives who are also members of the committee.
Principal Kamal Jeet of JNV Kishtwar led the discussions, addressing various crucial agenda points such as the provision of temporary facilities, recreational facilities for girls, counselling services, the expansion of examination centres for JNVST, organizing medical camps, and addressing electricity and repair issues of the school building. The meeting also highlighted the sanctioning of four new rooms for the school by the Honourable Deputy Commissioner through NHPC, with one room earmarked for a new computer lab. Dr. Yadav suggested strategies for the judicious use of available resources.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a thorough inspection of the Vidyalaya campus and its resources, instructing relevant departments to swiftly prepare proposals to address the water supply challenges and maintenance needs of the building. He assured the provision of mobile toilets in the Academic Block and a Shed Cum Storage Room for sports and recreation. Dr. Yadav also inquired about the progress of the new JNV building under construction and pledged support to expedite the construction work.
The session included an enriching interaction between Dr. Yadav and the students, where he provided guidance on maintaining focus in their studies and achieving excellence in life. He invited the students of JNV Kishtwar to visit the Kishtwar Reading Hub, District Zoo, and ATAL Tinkering Lab. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of fostering a spirit of competition among the students by organizing science exhibitions with students from State Board Schools.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to further enhancing the educational and infrastructural standards at JNV Kishtwar.
