JAMMU, June 7: Cyber cell DPO Jammu, a dedicated unit to deal with cases of online frauds and cyber crime, has successfully recovered hard earned money. In a new technique of looting money by fraudsters, Cyber cell DPO Jammu received a complaint in which fraudster posing himself as a Police officer asked complainant for money on the pretext that her son has been caught in a rape case and asked her that he will not file any case against her son if she deposit an amount of ?80,000 in the bank account provided by fraudster.The complainant deposited cash amount of ?80,000 in the bank account provided by the fraudster.
During the investigation, the Cyber Cell DPO Jammu, acted swiftly and exhibited hectic efforts which ultimately led to recovery of ?80,000/.Further investigation is underway.
