Early Times Report JAMMU, June 7: To celebrate the "World Food Safety Day" & to promote the Folk Culture of J&K & Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Sangam Tru Art production presented its 432th Friday series Dogri musical play "Shud Khana Sabne Khana " at Open Air Theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu the theme of this year "Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected". The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sh. V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity , Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India, Sh.J.K.Raina, Producer , Director Films & Sh.Mukesh Singh Media Person were Guest of Honors. The day commemorated as " WORLD FOOD SAFETY DAY 2024" as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional , Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian nation in general awareness items. Specially prepared on the theme of like "Jago Ghrak Jago " , " Bin kantee de sejaa Sunnia " , " Shud Khana Sabne Khana" , Apun Jago Duen jagao", Milavti Cheejan Khaye Mariya Nahi Muayean Jaan", " jag jag Ghrak Mere jagg Ghode -Bachi Sutta kiyan Chor pede Bagh " , Skits , Slogans Songs and Dances were presented to aware the masses & the music was composed by Music Director Sh.Mahesh Kotwal. The Chief Guest said World Food Safety Day is celebrated annually on June 7 to raise awareness about the importance of food safety and promote actions to prevent, detect, and manage foodborne risks. The day highlights the critical role that food safety plays in ensuring that everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food and lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective through the children of music and computer institutions. This year's theme underlines the importance of being prepared for food safety incidents, no matter how mild or severe they can be.Food safety incidents are situations where there is a potential or confirmed health risk associated with food consumption. A food incident can happen, for example, due to accidents, inadequate controls, food fraud or natural events. While being ready to manage food safety incidents requires dedicated efforts from policymakers, food safety authorities, farmers and food business operators, consumers also can play an active role. Always wash hands thoroughly before and after handling raw food, including vegetables and fruit. keep unwashed raw fruit and vegetables separate from ready-to-eat food during storage and preparation. where possible use a separate chopping board, knives and utensils for raw and cooked food. Dogra also said the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presenting more than 200 awareness programs this year through folk media in the far flung Villages of Jammu Province will be covered. The singers ,musician and actors who performed were Usha Raina, K K Joshi , Rajni Gupta , Bindia Okheda, Chahat Chadha , Rahul Kumar , Rajeev Salotra , Zulekha Bano, Naiya Digra, Renu Bala presented the enthralled performance.
