The Song & Skits was recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
Welcome address of Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said child labour first started to occur in England when household businesses were turned into local labour markets that mass-produced the once homemade goods. Dogra also said Child Labour is a serious offence, if any person who employs a child below 14 or a child between 14 and 18 in a hazardous occupation or process can be punished with jail time of between six months and two years and/or fine between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 50,000. Because children often helped produce the goods out of their homes, working in a factory to make those same goods was a simple change for many of these youths. Child Labour refers to the employment of children aged 5 to 17 years to deprive them of their childhood and force them into a life of deprivation and illiteracy. The main factor behind child labour is poverty; therefore, it is more rampant in developing or underdeveloped countries. Child Labour is work performed by a child that is likely to interfere with his or her right to education, or to be harmful to their health or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development. All work done by children under the age of 15 and dangerous work done by children under the age of 18 is illegal. Here are a few tips for helping end child labor are Educate yourself. Contact retail stores, manufacturers, and importers. Buy fair trade and sweatshop-free products whenever possible. Grow more of your own food. Share your time and money.
