Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Army Public School Ratnuchak marked International Yoga Day with a vibrant and enthusiastic celebration. Students and staff came together, demonstrating their commitment to physical and mental well-being through yoga. The event featured active participation from NCC Cadets of the 2 J&K Girls and Boys Battalion, under the guidance of the Principal and the Associate NCC Officer (ANO). The program began with an insightful introduction to the importance of yogic practices, emphasizing their benefits for both physical and mental health. This was followed by an extensive yoga session that included a variety of exercises and postures. The session started with Shukshma Vyayam (subtle exercises) and progressed through a series of asanas, including Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), Tadasana, Shalabhasana, Vajrasana, Pawanmuktasana, Halasana, Padahastasana, Lolasana, Viparita Karani, Setu Bandhasana, Ustrasana, Kati Chakrasana, Dhanurasana, Bhujangasana, Makarasana, Yoga Mudra, and Sheetali Pranayama. The practice session was further enriched by the chanting of the "Shiv Mantra - Foundation of Yog," creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The event concluded with the chanting of Om Dhwani and Shanti Path, reinforcing the serene and holistic essence of yoga. This celebration of International Yoga Day was a profound and enriching experience for the entire school community.
