REASI, June 25: Under the guidance of District Magistrate Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, the Motor Vehicles Department of Reasi, led by ARTO Mudassir Iqbal, conducted a comprehensive enforcement drive at Moori and Nomai, to ensure strict compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act and enhance road safety across the district.
During the enforcement drive, a total of 224 vehicles were meticulously inspected to check adherence to the Act's provisions. The diligent efforts of the Motor Vehicles Department Reasi resulted in identifying 23 vehicles operating in violation of various regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act.
As a consequence of these violations, fines amounting to Rs 143,700 were issued through e-challans. Additionally, the drive led to the recommendation for suspension of seven driving licenses due to severe infractions. |
