Jammu, June 25: The state executive committee meeting of the J&K BJP will be held on the first week of July to start preparations for the coming Assembly elections and also to review the performance of the party in the just concluded Parliamentary elections. Highly placed sources in the BJP said that the meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on July 1 but it has been rescheduled and a fresh date will be announced very soon. “Most probably the meeting will be held in the first week of July in which all executive committee members have been called to devise a strategy for the coming Assembly elections in J&K”, sources in the BJP said. “Apart from devising a fresh strategy for Assembly polls, the executive meeting will also discuss the performance of the party in the Lok Sabha elections”, sources said and added that discussions will be held on the Assembly segments where the party failed to perform on the expected lines.
