DLIC meeting held in Doda | | | Early Times Report
DODA, June 25: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Doda, Harvinder Singh, convened a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under the Mumkin, Tejaswini, and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative, which are part of the Mission Youth Schemes. The meeting was attended by key officials, including the CPO Doda Manesh Kumar Manhas, General Manager of D.I.C. Doda S. Parmjeet Singh, the Deputy Director of Employment Doda Adnan Tariq, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer Doda Rajesh Gupta, the District Nodal Officer of JKEDI Doda, the Lead District Manager Doda, Parveen Kumar, employment office Doda Imtiyaz Ali, and the District Coordinator of JKGSS (J&K Bank) Doda. During the meeting, 52 applications under Mumkin, 12 under Tejaswini, and 4 applications under the Spurring Entrepreneurship initiative were presented before the DLIC. All applications under Mumkin and Tejaswini were approved, whereas out of the 4 applications under Spurring, two were rejected. The DDC emphasized the importance of these initiatives in fostering youth empowerment and entrepreneurship within the district. Specific directions were issued to streamline the application process and ensure timely disbursement of funds. The DDC also urged the committee members to identify and address any bottlenecks that could hinder the implementation of the schemes. Additionally, the DDC directed that a comprehensive monitoring mechanism be established to track the progress of approved cases, ensuring transparency and accountability in the utilization of the schemes’ resources. The DDC also highlighted the need to create awareness among the youth about these opportunities and encourage them to take full advantage of the available support. The DDC directed that no application received from beneficiaries should be rejected unless for critical issues. The DDC also urged the committee to receive more applications to enhance the benefits ratio among the youth. The DDC further asked the stakeholders to resolve any issues or hindrances to avoid delays in providing the benefits. During the meeting, the DDC also directed the stakeholders to ensure that around five success stories of government-sponsored schemes should be documented. The DDC also urged the stakeholders to provide a list of the best employers across the district. The meeting concluded with a unanimous agreement to expedite the processing of applications and enhance inter-departmental coordination to achieve the objectives of the Mission Youth Schemes effectively. |
