Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 26: IQAC in collaboration with Department of Education, Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur celebrates International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking by organizing different activities viz. awareness lecture, poster making, Slogan writing competition and pledge taking ceremony on 26th of June, 2024. The whole event was conducted under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the College, Dr. Seema Arora. A number of students participated in the competition and expressed their views through their posters and slogans depicting different serious ill effects of drug abuse. On the occasion it was stressed that the habit of drug abuse not only greatly affects the body and mind, but also spoils the bright future of a person. During the program, the students were also motivated to participate and adopt sports and yoga related activities as a part of their daily life in order to enhance their performance and sharpening of brain instead of indulging in drug addiction and other such activities. Suhani Rajput of Sem 4th, Rabia Shehreen of Sem 4th, Vishali Sharma of Sem 4th secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in poster making and slogan writing competition. The whole event was organized by Dr. Maansi Sharma and Dr. Sunil Tanoch. Karan Magotra, Munish and other staff members also attended the program. |
