Early Times Report RAMBAN, June 26: To mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Trafficking, Drug Control Department Ramban along with Chemists Association Ramban under the guidance of deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary organized an awareness program and a awareness rally from Boli Bazar to upper Bazar Ramban to promote a healthy lifestyle besides preventing controlling and addressing issue of drug abuse. The event was led by the Drugs Inspector, Imtiyaz Ahmed to educate the community about the dangers of drug trafficking and drug abuse. The stakeholders gathered to emphasize the devastating effects of illicit drugs on individuals, families, and society as a whole. Participants took a solemn pledge to actively combat drug trafficking and promote a drug-free environment. Drugs affect many people, from those dealing with addiction to communities facing issues like drug trafficking and organised crime. To tackle this problem, we need to use proven, scientific methods that focus on preventing drug use and providing effective treatment. As we observe this day, let us commit to taking compassionate and effective actions that prioritise people, reduce stigma, and create a supportive environment for all.
