Kavinder slams Congress' reinstatement of Sam Pitroda, terms it as Political Gimmick
6/27/2024 9:56:46 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 27: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has strongly criticized the decision of Congress party to reinstate Sam Pitroda as Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress. He denounced the move, labeling Pitroda's resignation as a mere "poll gimmick," echoing the sentiments anticipated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a scathing statement issued today, Kavinder Gupta emphasized that the Congress' decision to reinstate Sam Pitroda, shortly after his removal, vindicates Prime Minister Narendra Modi's earlier prediction. "As anticipated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress' sacking and subsequent reinstatement of Sam Pitroda is nothing short of a poll gimmick. This move exposes the Congress party's hypocrisy and its leaders' lack of genuine commitment to public sentiment," he said.
Kavinder highlighted, "The return of Sam Pitroda, the tormentor of the middle class, so soon after the elections, reveals the Congress' true colors. His regressive comments, which targeted not just the middle class but also individuals from the South and North-East, were not isolated opinions but reflective of the Congress leadership's stance under Rahul Gandhi."
The senior BJP leader criticized the Congress party's leadership for what he perceives as a disregard for public sentiment and an attempt to manipulate public perception for electoral gains. "Sam Pitroda's reinstatement is a clear indication of the Congress party's disconnect with the aspirations of the people of India. It demonstrates their willingness to sacrifice principles for short-term political gains," he asserted.
Kavinder reiterated Prime Minister Modi's foresight on this matter, stating, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had accurately predicted that the Congress would reinstate Sam Pitroda to its ranks. This reinstatement further underscores the Congress party's disconnect with the aspirations of the people of India."
