Early Times Report

Srinagar, June 27: After getting a drubbing in recently held parliamentary elections, Apni Party led by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday announced dissolution of all Kashmir province frontal units with immediate effect.
“It is hereby ordered that all frontal organisations of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (Kashmir province), including the Youth Wing, Women Wing and ST Wing, are dissolved with immediate effect,” a party statement said.
The unprecedented development is largely attributed to the Apni Party’s debacle in recently held Parliamentary elections.

Apni Party candidates were unable to make any impact on the ground. They contesting election was much ado about nothing.
All their tall claims stood punctured as the party candidates performed poorly even in the pockets that were considered to be the strongholds of the party.
The party leadership has been projecting itself as an alternative to traditional parties but the results of the parliamentary polls prove that the Apni Party has a long way to go.
The party leaders should reach out to people. Mere rhetoric and raising slogans won’t help their cause.
dates performed poorly even in the pockets that were considered to be the strongholds of the party.”
An observer said, “The Apni Party dissolving all its wings is an indication that the party wants to regroup for the assembly elections and wants to ensure that it doesn’t face yet another humiliating defeat.”
He said, “The party leadership has been projecting itself as an alternative to traditional parties but the results of the parliamentary polls prove that the Apni Party has a long way to go.”
“The dissolution of the party units will pave the way for new teams to take over but that doesn’t mean that it would help the party to get more support. The party leaders should reach out to people. They need to convince the electorate that they can provide the much needed change and fight for their rights. Mere rhetoric and raising slogans won’t help their cause,” the observer added.
