Jammu, July 21: Amid reports the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu are attributed to a new batch of infiltrators from Pakistan's Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions, the Border Security Force (BSF) is going to redevise its strategy to counter nefarious designs of the enemy. The Director General of BSF during his visit to the Jammu sector assessed the situation on the International Border and issued directions to the officers on the ground to ensure zero infiltration from the IB. It is believed that Pakistan is pushing infiltrators primarily Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) recruits to revive terrorism in Jammu regions. These groups, including the 'People’s Anti-Fascist Front' and 'Kashmir Tigers,' have executed six precision attacks this year, killing 11 Armed Forces personnel and nine civilians. Despite aggressive counter-operations, security forces face challenges tracking these highly trained, stealthy militants. Meanwhile, a day after the high-level security review meeting at Jammu, Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) Nitin Aggarwal conducted an extensive tour of the International Border (IB) in the Jammu sector. DG BSF’s tour to the border areas of the Jammu region is significant in the sense that senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police have on record stated that terrorists involved in the Hiranagar and Kathua attacks were fresh infiltrators from the IB. The Director General reviewed the operational preparedness of the troops stationed along the IB in different areas of the Jammu sector. Agrawal's two-day visit to the Jammu sector focused on assessing the security conditions along the International Border.
