DC Reasi reviews preparations for Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign

REASI, July 30: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review preparations for the upcoming Swachhta Pakhwada campaign. The fortnight-long campaign, set to run from August 1 to August 15, aims to instill a sense of civic duty among the citizens of Reasi district.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the various activities planned for the campaign. A district-level committee was constituted to oversee the campaign’s implementation, with the ADDC appointed as the nodal officer responsible for ensuring the campaign's overall success across the district.
Key directions issued by the DC include the plantation across schools and GSR for bio-fencing. He emphasized the importance of maintaining clean office buildings and toilets, urging all officers to ensure their facilities are up to standard. Additionally, a proposal was made to establish a Cow Sanctuary in Katra.
DC Mahajan also directed a thorough inspection of all public toilets along National Highways (NH) within the district to ensure their proper functioning. A special drive will be launched to rejuvenate and clean BanGanga.
In a tribute to Martyrs, he said a garden will be dedicated to them within the DC complex, with saplings planted by the families of the martyrs.
DC Mahajan instructed XENs Jal Shakti to collect and test water samples from every Tehsil, ensuring the cleaning and improvement of water sources. He also directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to create pits for the disposal of medical waste.
ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samayal, ADC Kulbushan Khajuria, Joint Director CPO Narinder Kumar, PO ICDS Mohd. Anwar Bandey, ACD Pardeep Kumar, I/C CMO Dr. Ashok Kumar, DSP (HQ) Neeraj Padyar and Other district officer attended the meeting.
