DDC member Bhushan Bral donates 200 hybrid plants | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 30: In a significant contribution towards environmental sustainability, Bhushan Bral, DDC (District Development Council) member from Bhalwal Brahmana, has donated 200 hybrid plants to the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) under the theme "Ek ped maa ke naam" (A tree in the name of mother). This initiative aims to honor mothers and promote environmental conservation through tree planting. The "Ek ped maa ke naam" initiative is designed to encourage people to plant trees in the name of their mothers, symbolizing gratitude and respect for the life-giving and nurturing role that mothers play. By linking the act of planting a tree to the honor of one's mother, the initiative hopes to foster a deeper personal connection to environmental conservation. Trees planted under this theme not only contribute to the green cover but also stand as living monuments of love and respect. Dr. Sonia Verma, Director of the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Bral's dedication to fostering a sustainable green environment. She highlighted the importance of such initiatives in combating climate change and enhancing the green cover of our region. "Bhushan Bral's contribution is a commendable example of how individuals can make a significant impact on our environment," said Dr. Verma. "The 'Ek ped maa ke naam' initiative not only helps in greening our surroundings but also instills a sense of personal responsibility and emotional connection towards environmental conservation." Sandeep Sharma, Treasurer of SGWF, encouraged others to follow Bhushan Bral's exemplary gesture and contribute to the foundation's mission for a greener Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that donations like these are crucial in achieving the NGO's environmental goals.
