Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 2: In celebration of Sanskrit month, Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust organized a one-day lecture series highlighting the significance of the Sanskrit language. The event was held at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Domana, Jammu, and concluded with a tree plantation drive. The chief guest, former minister Sham Lal Sharma, alongside special guest President of Sanatan Dharma Sabha Purushottam Dadhichi and honored guest SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, graced the occasion. In his address, Sham Lal Sharma emphasized that Sanskrit is more than just a language for rituals; it is the mother of Sanatan Dharma and culture. He highlighted Sanskrit's antiquity and precision, noting its suitability for modern applications, even in space technology. Sharma also pointed out the importance of knowing Sanskrit in addition to local dialects like Dogri for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Purushottam Dadhichi, the special guest, expressed that events like these boost the morale of Sanskrit enthusiasts. He spoke on the cultural development fostered by Sanskrit, which continues to inspire world peace and social progress. He reminded the audience of India's non-aggressive history, emphasizing the peaceful nature of its culture, deeply rooted in Sanskrit traditions. SP Rural Jammu Brijesh Sharma noted that Sanskrit is the world's oldest language, carrying India's cultural pride. He stressed the need to spread the knowledge of Sanskrit to the masses, thereby propagating India's rich cultural heritage. Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, elaborated on the significance of Sanskrit's Devanagari script. He explained that the precise pronunciation of Sanskrit words has a profound effect on creating proper vibrations in the brain. He highlighted that the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas were composed in Sanskrit, making it one of the richest and most prosperous languages in human history. The primary goal of the program was to promote the divine language, Sanskrit. The event was attended by the school's principal, Mohinder Sharma, along with students, school staff, and distinguished citizens, including Dil Bahadur Singh, SHO Domana Sushil, Master Vijay Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Rahul Salathia, Yash Seth, Rakesh Singh, Uttam Chand Sharma, Rajinder Seth, Angrez Singh, Shamsher Singh, Vijay Kumar, Bindu Kumari, Pawan Salathia, Babu Ram, Kartar Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Aditya Abhiraj Sharma, and others. |
