Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 13: Even as the BJP has yet not finalized panels of potential candidates for coming Assembly polls, the party is likely to replace as many as 14 former MLAs and ex-ministers who won elections in 2014.
Highly placed sources said that the central leadership of the BJP has already received initial reports of the survey conducted by the two private agencies.
“Feedback and reports of some former ministers and ex-legislators are not encouraging so the party is seriously thinking of replacing those who got negative remarks during these surveys”, sources said.
Notably two private survey agencies have reported less than favorable feedback about these leaders.
Sources indicate that the majority of people interviewed by these agencies did not provide positive feedback about the former BJP legislators and ex-ministers who were in power with the PDP from 2015 to 2018.

Residents of Jammu City recounted incidents where senior BJP leaders prioritized protocols and jammers over addressing public issues. The survey involved interactions with citizens, journalists, and the general public.

As reported earlier, the BJP has already conducted a survey on the performance of its former MLAs. A private agency assessed the performance of ex-legislators, some of whom served as ministers in the previous PDP-BJP coalition government in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP hired private agencies to gather feedback on potential candidates.
Reports suggest that the party received performance assessments of its former MLAs and MLCs before the polls. Ticket allocation for ex-legislators will be based on these assessment reports.
