Jammu, Sept 21: In celebration of Swachh Bharat Diwas, Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, conducted an extensive campus cleanliness drive under the leadership of Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol. Themed "Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskar Swachhata," the initiative highlighted the significance of cleanliness as both a habit and a lifelong value. A key focus of the drive was the Browsing Centre, a vital hub for research and learning. Volunteers thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the area, ensuring that all computer terminals, workstations, and common spaces were disinfected and well-organized. Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol praised the collective efforts of the college community, stating, "Cleanliness is more than a necessity; it is a responsibility. The theme ‘Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskar Swachhata’ reminds us that clean habits foster a healthy mindset and instill discipline. I am immensely proud of the initiative shown by both our students and staff, and I encourage everyone to carry forward this spirit of cleanliness to make our campus a model of hygiene and environmental stewardship." The event was coordinated by Prof. Anju Bala and Dr. Pavanjeet Bali, who emphasized that a clean campus not only promotes health but also enhances the productivity of the learning environment.
