Prof Rasmita Swain inaugurates composite skill laboratory

Jammu, Sept 21: In a significant step towards enhancing skill-based education in J&K Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu, Ms. (Prof.) Rasmita Das Swain, Chairperson, Management Committee, J&K PPSs/PWWA, J&K inaugurated a “Composite Skill Laboratory” today at school. The Laboratory has been established under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of GD Pharmaceutical, Makers of Boroline. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Ms. Sarah Rizvi, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, the Administrative Officer of J&K PPS Jammu, Ms. Jayashree Singh, PWWA Member, Ms. Neetu Bali, PWWA Member, Mr. ArunTandon, Consultant, GD Pharmaceutical and Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal.
Prof.Rasmita Das Swain, Chairperson, Management Committee, J&K PWWA/PPSs, expressed her appreciation for efforts of Mr. ArunTandon, Consultant, GD Pharmaceutical and extended heartfelt thanks to the Management of GD Pharmaceutical for their generous contributions in J&K Police Public Schools. She stated that Composite Skill Laboratory will serve as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application allowing students to gain first-hand experience and skills. She highlighted the critical role that the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) have placed on the skill development.
Ms. Sarah Rizvi, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, the Administrative Officer, J&K PPS Jammu in her remarks, noted that the establishment of Composite Skill Laboratory is a major step towards aligning education with the needs of the modern job market and said that “this initiative will provide our students with opportunity to train in practical skill”.
Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K PPS Miran Sahib Jammu also took the opportunity to thank the Chairperson, PWWA Members and the Administrative Officer for their valuable time and support. He expressed his gratitude towards Mr. ArunTandon for fulfilling the school’s requirement for a Composite Skill Lab. in line with CBSE directive for all schools to establish such laboratories. “This lab. is a testament to our commitment to provide our students with best possible opportunities and training”, Shri Rajeev Sharma Said.
Following the event, the Chairperson, Management Committee, J&K PPSs/PWWA, J&K also interacted with the teaching staff of school. During this interaction, all teachers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chairperson for the cash reward presented to them by the Management Committee on the occasion of Teacher’s Day. The reward was greatly appreciated by the staff as it recognized their dedication, hard work and contribution to school’s success. The Chairperson, in response, extended warm wishes to the teaching staff, encouraging them to keep up their efforts in maintaining high standard of education. The function culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Principal, Rajeev Sharma.
