| 4 Bovine smuggling bids foiled, 91 bovines rescued, 4 vehicles seized by JKP | | |

Jammu, Sept 21: Jammu police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers under operation Kamdhenu Police team of Police Station Nagrota have foiled three bovine smuggling attempts in which 84 bovines were rescued from three different vehicles bearing registration number No.JK02DA/9886, JK19A/8765 and UP19T/1467 at Naka Ban Toll plaza.
The driver of all the vehicles arrested on the spot namely 1.) Reyaz Ahmed S/o Lal Hussain R/o Maheen Ragoora. 2.) Musharaf Ahmed S/o Ghulam Mohi U Din R/o Ashmar Famrot Sangal Dan Distt Ramban. 3.) Shamim S/o Abass R/o Nanota Madhupur Teh. Rampur Distt. Saranpur State UP.
Moreover one more bovine smuggling bid has been foiled by PP Manwal, rescued 07 bovines and one vehicle seized bearing Reg No.JK14D/2672 at near Nadal Naka Kathar Morh.The driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot.
91 bovines were rescued and Four vehicles seized
In this regard, four FIRs:-
FIR No.254/2024
255/2024 and 256/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Nagrota.One more FIR No.213/2024 Registered in PS Jhajjar Kotli under relevant sections of law.
Further investigation of all the cases are in progress.
