Movement Kalki’s Press Conference on Jammu Tourism, Tirupati Temple Prasad Controversy | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: Today, Movement Kalki organized an important press conference to discuss two crucial issues: 1. An appeal to promote tourism in Jammu during Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit and the demand to reconsider the Darbar Move decision 2. The issue of animal fat allegedly found in the prasad of Andhra Pradesh’s renowned Tirupati Temple, which has now reached the Central Government. The press conference was led by Movement Kalki Advisory Board member Pritam Sharma and Board member Vikram Mahajan. The event took place at Jai Shri Ram Travel, Bus Stand, Jammu. During the press conference, Pritam Sharma appealed to Home Minister Amit Shah, who is currently on a visit to Jammu, stating that if he wants continued support from the people of Jammu, he must focus on promoting tourism in the region. He mentioned that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in 2019 was welcomed by the people of Jammu, but the decision to halt the Darbar Move has negatively impacted the local traders and business community. He urged the government to reinstate the Darbar Move to benefit the local economy and win back the support of the people. Pritam Sharma further explained that stopping the Darbar Move has led to a severe economic downturn for traders in Jammu, forcing many to consider relocating to other states. He called upon the Home Minister to reconsider this decision, emphasizing that reinstating the Darbar Move would benefit both Jammu and Kashmir by improving trade and economic conditions. He also pointed out that the extension of the train route to Katra has already impacted 80% of Jammu’s trade, and if the train extends further to Kashmir, the remaining 20% would also suffer. Thus, the revival of the Darbar Move is essential for improving the financial situation of the people of Jammu. On the second issue, Vikram Mahajan addressed the allegations of animal fat being found in the prasad at the Tirupati Temple. He stated that this matter is highly sensitive and directly affects the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. He called for a thorough inspection of the quality of prasad being distributed, not only in Andhra Pradesh but across the country, to ensure there is no adulteration that could harm the religious faith of the devotees. Mahajan also mentioned that this issue has now reached the Central Government, and a detailed investigation is required to ensure the sanctity of religious offerings is maintained. The press conference was attended by Movement Kalki's Advisory Board member Pritam Sharma, Core Committee member Sanjeev Dubey, Board member Vikram Mahajan, Rohit Bajrangi, Advocate Someshwar Kohli, Ajay Kumar, Pawan Narang, Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Mahant Jasmer, Pammi Singh Jamwal, and other key members. The press conference concluded with Movement Kalki reaffirming its commitment to addressing social and religious issues. The organization emphasized the need for transparency and the protection of religious values. |
