Jammu, Sept 21: As part of the ongoing Hindi Fortnight, organized by the Hindi Cell and the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages at Central University of Jammu, a series of events have been taking place. Among these, students performed a play titled “Chief Ki Dawat,” while the Viraj Kala Kendra presented a play on the theme “Gumshuda Sant Ki Talash.” Both performances captivated the audience, leaving everyone visibly moved. In addition to the plays, after the inaugural ceremony, inter-college essay, speech, and original poetry competitions were held, with participation from students of various government colleges in the Jammu region. Winners of these competitions were honored with cash prizes. During the play event’s opening, Prof. Bharat Bhushan, Head of the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages, welcomed all the artists. Dr. Priyanjan, Assistant Director, Hindi Cell, presented vote of thanks at the end of the program. All performers were honored for their contributions. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shashikant Mishra, Associate Professor of the Hindi and Other Indian Languages Department. |
