| GDC Ramgarh organizes series of competitions in connection with Gandhi Jayanti | | |  Early Times Report
RAMGARH, Sept 25: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a vibrant series of activities and competitions designed to celebrate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and promote his teachings among students. The events took place on 25-09-2024 and it aimed to inspire young minds to embrace Gandhiji's principles of truth, non-violence, and sustainability. The event was held under the patronage and guidance of Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra.
Activities included Bhajan Singing Competition where students showcased their musical talents by performing devotional songs dedicated to Gandhiji, creating a serene atmosphere of reflection and reverence, Seminar on Gandhiji's Vision for a Sustainable Future where speakers discussed Gandhiji's philosophies regarding sustainability and their relevance in today's world, Essay Writing Competition and Slogan Writing Competition focusing on the themes of truth and non-violence. Lastly, a Reel Making Competition was also organized where students created short reels highlighting Gandhiji's life and teachings, utilizing modern technology to bring his philosophies to a contemporary audience. Dr. Aditi Kahjuria, convener IQAC and Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Convener Cultural/Fine Arts Committee organised the various Intra-college competitions. The winners of various competitions are 'Essay Writing - Harmandeep Kour', 'Seminar - Chahat Tadyal', 'Bhajan Singing - Harmandeep Kour, Sonam Devi and Tammana Attr', 'Slogan Writing - Tannu Angural', 'Reel Making - Amit Kumar and Taniya' and they will represent GDC Ramgarh at the district level competitions on 27-09-2024 at GDC Samba, showcasing their talents and insights on a broader platform. |
