| GDC Paloura organised lecture on Gandhian Philosophy | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 27: NCC unit of GDC Paloura organised an awareness lecture on Gandhian Philosophy. The purpose of the programme was to popularise Gandhian Philosophy.It was an attempt to describe Gandhian Philosophy in simple way.The event was the part of GDc Paloura's ongoing week long programme to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Speaking on the occasion Professor Arun Sharma Department of History informed the cadets that Gandhian philosophy is the religious and social ideas adopted and developed by Gandhi, first during his period in South Africa from 1893 to 1914, and later of course in India. These ideas have been further developed by later "Gandhians", most notably, in India by, Vinoba Bhave and Jayaprakash Narayan. He further informed that the twin cardinal Principles of Gandhi's thought are truth and nonviolence. He advised the cadets to inculcate these principles of Gandhiji in their life.
The whole programme was organised by Professor (Lt) Arun Sharma under the able guidance of Dr Kulvinder Kour Principal GDC paloura. |
