AIPA delegation meets Chief Secretary, Discusses Issues

Jammu, Oct 5: Today a deputation of All India Principals Association (AIPA) J& K Chapter led by Ram Murti Sharma ( State President), Ashok Kumar Magotra (Senior State Vice- president), Rajeev Slathia ( State Vice-president) & Krishan Singh Sambyal ( State General Secretary) called on Mr. Atal Dulloo, IAS Chief Secretary J& K in his office chamber. (AIPA J& K Chapter officer bearers with Chief Secretary J& K) Apprised him of the problems faced by the private schools affiliated to J& K BOSE and recognised by the J& K Govt. It was brought to the notice of the Chief Secretary that despite holding meetings with the private schools Principals/Sponsors and various offices of the JKBOSE and the School Education Department, no orders have been issued till now.
The latest meeting was convened by Mr. Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary School Education on 27th of July 2024. The following points:- b) Our constant requests to the authorities, Shri Alok Kumar, IRS the principal Secretary School Education Department.
Along with other officers concerned was kind enough to convene a meeting in Srinagar on 27-7-2024 to sort out the problems faced by the private schools of J&K. Like Management Committee will be approved within one month of application. c) The Affiliation Committee of JKBOSE will meet every month as given in the rules and approved the cases which are complete. d) The authorities were directed in the meeting not to press for Traffic NOC as the school vehicles already comply with rules and guidelines issued by the concerned departments. e) Chemical safety certificate from the school authorities should be accepted on affidavit based since no concentrated chemicals are used by the schools upto high classes. f) However the fate of this meeting remained same as was held by Shri Shalin Kabra , IAS which followed with no guidelines/orders from the school education department.
The Chief Secretary was requested to kindly intervene in the matter so that the instructions/ orders are issued by Principal Secretary School Education to the authorities of School Education Department and JKBOSE so that the private schools could function in a proper & stress free manner. The :- Besides the following difficulties being faced by the private schools were also brought to the notice of the Chief Secretary as listed as under:- a) In cases where private schools are being run on private land registered in the name of their any family should not be compelled to go far lease deeds. b) Since all the NOCs are issued by the authorities concerned on the bases of the affidavits submitted to by the school management. Instead of comply for NOCs directly the affidavit should be accepted by the JKBOSE/Department of School Education to avoid unnecessarily wastage time, money and energy which could utilised for the welfare of the staff and the students. The Chief Secretary J&K was kind enough to get the needful done at the earliest possible.
