Aizawl, Mizoram, Oct 6: Amit Sharma, IAS, a son of the soil, who was recently transferred from UT of Ladakh to Mizoram State by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has been posted as Special Secretary with Independent Charge for two important departments in Mizoram, namely Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) and Cooperation by the Government of Mizoram. It is worthwhile to mention here that Mizoram is the third consecutive state/UT wherein Amit Sharma has been posted as IT Secretary after Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, being a specialist of the domain, especially after completing one year EPGP (eGov) from IIM Indore, almost a decade ago. Amit played an instrumental role in successful implementation of key e-Governance related projects in J&K like Cumputerization of Land Records, successful implementation of eOffice instance and CRS in both Civil Secretariats of Jammu and Srinagar, provisioning of online services to the citizens and likewise, successful setting-up of State Data Centre and State Wide Area Network in the UT of Ladakh in the recent past. |
