Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 7: The Directorate of Skill Development Department, Jammu and Kashmir, under the leadership of Shri O.P. Bhagat (JKAS), Director of the department, organized a one-day Capacity Building Program on Mission YUVA (Yuva Udhyami Vikas Abhiyaan) at the Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu. The program aimed to sensitize Nodal and Coordinating officers on the purpose, components, and monitoring aspects of Mission YUVA in the Union Territory. The event saw participation from the Heads of Institutions, Principals, and Superintendents of various polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the Jammu Division. Shri O.P. Bhagat provided an in-depth overview of Mission YUVA, outlining its mission and vision. He emphasized the need for creating an environment where youth feel empowered to innovate, take risks, and build successful enterprises. The initiative is designed to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem within Jammu and Kashmir, offering youth the necessary support to venture into business. The program featured key resource persons, including Narendar Abrol from SIDBI, Ajay Thapa from Government Polytechnic, Jammu, Dr. Vinod Kumar from JKEDI, and Kanav Sharma from NABARD. They discussed the various components of Mission YUVA, such as: Eco-System Creation Institutional Business Support Mechanism Enterprise Development Creating Business Plans Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and Credit Enabling for easy access to funding for entrepreneurs. The speakers highlighted how Mission YUVA is designed to provide business development support to budding entrepreneurs in the region. By focusing on enterprise development, credit facilitation, and creating a supportive ecosystem, Mission YUVA aims to transform the economic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir by nurturing entrepreneurial talent among the youth. The session concluded with a call to action for all participating institutions to work collaboratively in realizing the objectives of Mission YUVA, contributing to the growth of the entrepreneurial culture in the Union Territory. |
