St Mary's Infant Convent School holds swearing-in ceremony

JAMMU, Oct 7: In a momentous event held on 7th October 2024, St. Mary's Infant Convent School, Jammu, proudly announced the swearing-in of the new School Prefect Council for the academic year 2024-25. The ceremony was graced by Fr. Santosh Athickal, the Financial Administrator of the Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar, who presented badges to the newly appointed prefects. At the helm of the leadership team, Aahana Rajput and Manthan Bhargav were sworn in as the Head Girl and Head Boy, respectively. Both students have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities, academic excellence, and commitment to the school's values, making them the perfect candidates to lead their peers.
Supporting the head prefects in their roles are Aanaya Kaith, appointed as the Deputy Head Girl, and Mehran, who will serve as the Deputy Head Boy. Meanwhile, Samiya and Manvi were adorned with the titles of disciple coordinators. The passion of these young students for fostering a positive school environment and their dedication to extracurricular and academic activities have earned them this prestigious recognition.
The principal, Sheetal Anthony along with the staff of the school lit the ceremonial lamp. Anna Mary, Chairperson of St. Mary's Infant Convent School (SMICS) graced the event as the special vedette. During the ceremony, Fr. Santosh Athickal commended the students on their achievements and encouraged them to uphold the values of responsibility, teamwork, and service to others. He also expressed his hopes for the council to lead by example and inspire their fellow students to strive for excellence in all endeavors.
The event concluded with a pledge taken by the entire council, affirming their commitment to uphold the honor and principles of SMICS. This marks the beginning of an exciting year of leadership and growth for the newly appointed prefects.
