Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 17: The Central University of Jammu has officially launched the implementation phase of the Sustainable Campus Development and Performance Management (SCDPM) 4.0 initiative, following a comprehensive preparatory period that began in August. This crucial phase, mandated by the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, will run from 2nd October to 31st October 2024. During the preparatory phase, the university focused on establishing vermicomposting and vermiwash systems, laying the groundwork for a sustainable waste management strategy. Approximately 32 kgs of vermicompost was obtained till 17th October 2024. During the implementation phase, vermicompost was sold at Rs 30/Kg. This initiative aligns with the university's commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological balance.The implementation phase is being spearheaded by Nodal Officer Prof. Richa Kothari, with coordination efforts led by Lt. Dr. Pankaj Mehta, Dr. Dinesh Kumar and Dr. Ankit Tandon.
