SRINAGAR, Oct 17: At least 19 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured, two of them seriously, after their vehicle skidded off the road in Budgam district on Thursday, officials said. The ill-fated vehicle carrying the CRPF personnel skidded off the road and fell down to a gorge near Police Station Pakherpora Khaigam, resulting in injuries to 19 personnel, two of them critically. The injured were shifted to nearby Charar-e-Sharief hospital for treatment, where nine of them have been shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Soon after the accident, a rescue operation was launched to evacuate the injured to the nearby health facility, they said. |
