| GDC Sidhra organized mehndi competition 2024 | | |

JAMMU, Oct 19: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Sidhra organized a mega competition on Mehndi on 19-10-2024 in the college premises. Mehndi otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck.
This competition was organised to seek and develop the traditional values among the Students they enthusiastically participated in the competition and displayed their artistic designs through an array of mehendi on hands. Some were old and common but some designs were unique and trendy. The aim of this competition was not merely to see the drawing skills of the students but also the creativity of the students and their way of representation which will in turn improve the overall personality of student. Students created beautiful designs in different themes. Mehendi reflects the rich Indian culture bringing together the knowledge of medicinal herbs with many lovely sentiments and beliefs
On the occasion Dr. G.S. Rakwal, Principal of the college and other faculty members appreciated the students' The whole event was organised by Dr. Purvaiya Hans, NSS Programme officer with the active support and coordination of members of NSS Unit. |
