JAMMU, Oct 19: In a joint statement issued by the KDPW of DPAP, through Sanjay Dher, President, Piaray Lal Pandita, Chairman, Raj Kumar Ticku, General Secretary and others have congratulated Umar Abdullah for becoming Chief Minister of J&K and it's elected Ministers, Legislature. The Leaders have appealed the Leut. Governor, Chief Minister, for immediate recommendations and announcement of enhancement of monthly cash assistance to Displaced people from Rs. 108/-per day per soul to Rs. 300/- per day per soul,as this meager present assistance does not carter the day to day living of people in exile, and the rates of essential commodities have hiked 200% since last enhancement during 2018. The Leaders have demanded that due to genocidal exodus, the Govt. for thirty five years have not been able to workout our Rehabilitation Policy, and let our Community to suffer being True Patriots,and now especially after last ten years ruling of a Particular section, we have been ignored even of our Constitutional rights, but now the hope of our redressal of all our miseries has awaken within the Community by formation of a Political Public Government, and we demand that besides working out policy of our dignified resettlement to reunite with Kashmiriyet, our sufferings are mitigated.The Leaders have demanded that a Special Committee of Officers is constituted at an earliest for on spot assessment of our sufferings faced in Camps at Jammu for rectification,keeping in view our miserable living conditions, buildings, sanitation, Parks, Lanes, BY Lanes, drains, medical facilities, Security, street lights. The Leaders have demanded that crorers of Rupees have been incurred on construction of more than 300 Shops in Migrant Camps since 2012 to date but due to adminstrative lapse, these have deteriorated, due to non allotment to the migrant shop keepers in different migrant camps especially in Jagti Camp, for which a Committee requires to be constituted at an earliest, for allotment, as shopkeepers have been paying exorbitant rents in private shopes. The Leaders have demanded that being existing Migrant Camp Jagti in 1-1/2 Kilometer Area,only 4 to five police personal are deployed to handle more than 20000 souls, thereby creating an uncontrolled atmosphere, and have demanded that to ensure safety of residents,at least ten Armed police personal are permanently are deployed in Jagti Migrant Camp as inspite of repeated requests the SSP Jammu has not acceded to Our request. The Leaders of demanded that due to tensions and worst living conditions, the death rates in Jagti Migrant Camp has risen upto peak and for Mourning ,several mourning Community halls stands constructed, which have become disfunction due to non renovations and the Leaders have demanded that all mourning halls be got renovated and be kept only for mornings except functions,so that the Migrants are able to perform mornings smoothly as per religion bindings. The Leaders hope that the Worthy Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Relief Commissioner Migrants, may take immediate action for the betterment of living conditions of Migrants in Camps, to save the Migrants of Jagti Camp to lodge a protest for acceeding to our burning problems fir redressal.
