Early Times Report DODA, Oct 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the District Administration Doda, organized a Mini Marathon titled "Run for Unity" to honor the contributions of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event took place at the Sports Stadium Doda, where it was inaugurated by DC Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh, IAS, and SSP Doda, Sh. Mohd Aslam, IPS. The marathon attracted 300-350 participants from various age groups, including security personnel and civil administration staff, all demonstrating great enthusiasm. The route spanned from the Sports Stadium to Boys Higher Secondary School, passing through key local landmarks. During the event, officials highlighted the importance of such initiatives in commemorating freedom fighters and engaging youth in meaningful activities. They addressed pressing issues like drug abuse and online fraud while celebrating Patel's legacy of national unity and honoring martyrs who sacrificed for the country's integrity. Cash rewards and certificates of merit were awarded to the top three participants, while caps and refreshments were provided to all, enhancing the spirit of unity and camaraderie among attendees. |
