Early Times Report SAMBA, Oct 29: The police organized a symposium on drug abuse at Government Higher Secondary School Khara, attended by students, lecturers, teachers, and school management. The event, part of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), was led by ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana and the SHO of Police Station Purmandal, with participation from sixteen students. Top speakers received cash rewards of Rs 6,000, Rs 4,000, and Rs 3,000 for first, second, and third places, respectively, while thirteen other participants were awarded consolation prizes. In his address, the ASP urged students to focus their energy on positive activities and academics. He emphasized the importance of women's safety, youth involvement in nation-building, and awareness about drug abuse and cybercrime. He also stressed the need for adherence to traffic rules, including wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. The Principal of GHSS Khara thanked the police for their efforts in raising anti-drug awareness among students. |
