JAMMU, Nov 5: The Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur concluded a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, and Rules, 2020. Aimed at enhancing understanding and sensitization, the program trained 26 participants from police, social welfare agencies, and NGOs. Key areas included legal rights, the role of law enforcement, and community outreach for transgender inclusivity. The training featured interactive sessions, case studies, and group activities. The program was coordinated by Inspector SChander Mohan, with assistance from HC Sanjay Kumar. |
