Indian Red Cross Society hosts medical, eye camp | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 11: The Indian Red Cross Society, J&K-UT successfully organized a comprehensive Medical and Eye Check-up Camp at Government Boys Pahari Hostel, Jammu. The camp was conducted under the able supervision of Sh. Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K. The initiative was aimed at providing free healthcare services to the students, residents of the hostel, employees ensuring that they have access to medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and necessary treatments. A team of experienced medical professionals alongwith Mobile Testing Van including Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Sh. Mushtaq Ahmad, Sup. Lab Technician and Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist conducted thorough health assessments, offering consultations on a range of health issues, including general health, nutrition, and preventive care. Rohit Khajuria, expressed his commitment to the welfare of the community, particularly students and underprivileged groups. He emphasized that health is an integral part of overall development and that the Indian Red Cross Society is dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare access for marginalized sections of society. "The Indian Red Cross Society is working tirelessly to extend healthcare services to every corner of Jammu & Kashmir. Our medical camps, like this one, are a small but crucial part of our broader mission to improve health outcomes, raise awareness about preventive healthcare, and provide medical assistance to those who need it the most," said Sh. The camp provided a range of services, including General Health Check-ups, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Blood Sugar Tests, Nutritional Counselling, Blood Grouping, Eye Check-up etc. The event was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from the students, hostel residents and employees who benefitted from the health services provided. The Indian Red Cross Society has pledged to continue organizing such camps across the region, ensuring that vital health services are accessible to all, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
