| LPU team wins state-level RBI90 quiz competition | | | Agencies
JALANDHAR, Nov 16: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has added another feather to its cap as its BTech CSE students, Vishnu and Sri Vardhan, triumphed in the state-level RBI90 Quiz competition organized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The team emerged victorious among more than 3,000 teams in the online preliminary round, advancing through rigorous eliminations to secure the championship in the final stage held in Chandigarh. Their stellar performance earned them a cash prize of ?2 lakhs and a place in the North Zonal round.
The RBI90 Quiz is part of the RBI's 90th-anniversary celebrations and aims to enhance financial literacy among undergraduate students. The competition tests participants' knowledge of history, economics, and current affairs and progresses through four phases: online preliminaries, state-level eliminations, zonal rounds, and national finals.
Dr. Ashok Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, applauded the team's exceptional performance, stating, "This victory not only brings honor to LPU but also showcases the intellect and dedication of our students. We are confident they will continue to excel in the upcoming zonal rounds."
The RBI90 Quiz offers substantial cash prizes, with ?10 lakhs reserved for the national champions. The North Zonal round, scheduled to take place in Chandigarh later this year, promises to be a platform for the best minds from across the region to compete for the title.
