HPS celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 16: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, keeping in view the secular ethos of the school celebrated and rejoiced in the spirit of the festival Guru Nanak Jayanti. A special assembly was conducted in the presence of Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak, Vice Principal Mrs. Anku Charak, Incharges, faculty members and students to mark the occasion and bring home the relevance of the festival to our young generation. The students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and the assembly commenced with a prayer followed by a demonstration of the customary Prabhat Pheri. Talented students Mehpreet and Sehajveer took center stage to present a soul-stirring Mool mantra, showcasing not only their musical prowess but also their deep connection to Guru Nanak Ji's spiritual teachings. Gurpreet and Jaskiran, through their speeches emphasized the essence of oneness and spirituality, creating a profound impact on the audience. Serenity and calmness floated in the air with the beautiful humming of the shabads by students of 9th class and it paved the way for a very fruitful and productive day for all. The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor and respect. The efforts of the students were acknowledged by School Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak who appreciated their performances and reflections. He further said that the event served as a platform to foster unity, cultural appreciation, and understanding among the diverse student body. By embracing Guru Nanak Ji's teachings, the school reinforced universal values that go beyond academic excellence, contributing to the holistic development of its students. |
